Literacy to Work Project Manager Dabbles in Scrabble

In October 2010, Literacy to Work Project Manager Jessica Materson participated in the Second Annual Scrabble FUNdraiser event for READ Muskegon as a representative of the West Michigan Community Education Coalition (WMCEC).  Though the “WMCEC Waves” did not win first place, it was a fun way for the community to gain awareness about literacy needs in Muskegon and raise money for a great organization.  For more information on the work that READ Muskegon is involved with, check out www.readmuskegon.org.

Making a Difference....

For over a decade, the West Michigan Strategic Alliance (WMSA) has served a unique role as a catalyst for regional collaboration. Since 2000, WMSA has enhanced our region’s long-term sustainability by working with business, government and institutions to balance economic prosperity, environmental integrity and social justice. WMSA is currently managing eight major initiatives involving hundreds citizens in cross-sector and cross-regional dialogue and action to enhance our region’s economy and improve productivity. These vital collaborations would not occur without the administrative support and operational infrastructure WMSA provides.

It has been exciting and rewarding to see the “collaborative capital” that has developed over the past several years. Hundreds of people from around the region are working together to improve our quality of life.  We need your generous support to help us continue the great work already in progress.  Please consider a contribution to the WMSA today.  CLICK HERE to get involved and become a regional partner.

Together we can achieve our shared vision for West Michigan and the best place to live, learn, work and play in the Midwest .... for the benefit of all.
