WEST MICHIGAN PARKS & RECREATION INVENTORY

WMSA’s Green Infrastructure Initiative has created a comprehensive inventory of more than 123,000 acres of parks, trails, and other recreation areas located within the eight-county region that includes Allegan, Barry, Kent, Ionia, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, and Ottawa counties. This online resource provides links to information about recreation sites in more than 80 municipalities, listing the property name, address, acreage (or mileage), and usage/facilities information for each site. Whenever possible, the listed recreation site links the Property Name to the official webpage for that recreation site, or to the managing Park and Recreation department.

Please select a County to view its parks, trails and recreation.

The West Michigan Parks and Recreation Inventory provides "one-stop shopping" for anyone looking to explore a new park, trail, or recreation area in the region. Alternatively, it gives visitors and newcomers to West Michigan information about the locations and extent of such resources throughout the eight-county region. Whether it's hiking, hunting, cross-country skiing, or some other activity you’re interested in, this Inventory will provide you with information about where you can go in West Michigan to do it.

If you find any incomplete, missing, or incorrect information on this site, or if you know of a new recreation site that isn't already listed, please email us at: greeninfrastructure@wm-alliance.org.
